Changes to the blog walk through.

I have changed the blog slightly. I am cancelling the domain name in my own name, instead going with a wordpress free domain name. This means that the link to this place will now be https://musingsofatraineebattleaxe.wordpress.com  . I have also changed the colour scheme to something more friendly to the eyes. I am going to go as far back on the latest entries over the next few weeks to change the text colours so that they fit with the new colour scheme.

I have also tidied up the side bars. I have updated the out of date links to my Twitter feed, Facebook page and added my youtube videos to enable the visitors to play them while reading the blog.

I hope that the blog now looks slightly more professional. I don’t have a lot of time to write this entry tonight because I am knitting more parts of my Artwork before I go to sleep. This part is easier than the bit I’m going to leave until last. It is quite difficult incorporating something you have only just learned into an Art project. I find it relaxing to knit too. I can’t relax too much trying to get this finished though because I have finish and have it sent in by June (3 ish weeks). It will be finished in probably a week depending on whether I encounter any issues due to my lack of knitting experience. That is why I’ve not blogged every day. I am busy elsewhere as well as this Artwork I’m trying to complete. I hope that everyone will continue to read the blog until I managed to get everything done and go back to blogging more again.

  1. Em,

I love the pale green look of the blog and the new domain name.

Best wishes with your knitting – saw the project on Twitter and was impressed.

  2. Yes, Em, I have.

Part of the reason is that Google Plus accounts weren’t allowed to comment on your blog for a few months. And even if / when they were allowed I hadn’t mastered the log in / log out process.

I eventually had to find this out on a writers’ blog a few months ago.

And I think the last time I said something was about knitting.

Good luck again about the charity work.

Hoping to be less quiet soon.

      1. Perhaps because WP knew in advance it was being shut down. I’m not really surprised, G+ was supposed to be Google’s “Facebook killer” but it didn’t really offer anything and was awkward to use; you couldn’t even use a custom URL without jumping through hoops. Orkut was better in every respect other than being glacially slow, I never really understood why they killed it rather than promoting it. But I digress. Fancy that.
